Fragsters beat GODSENT to qualify for DH Open Austin

Fragsters are the first team confirmed for DreamHack Open Austin after beating GODSENT 2-0 in the grand final of the European closed qualifier.
The Danish side squeezed their way to the final after beating Sprout and Imperial in three-map series, while GODSENT beat Singularity and AGO in the first two rounds of this single-elimination qualifier.
Inferno was the opening map of the final, and a keenly-contested first half ended with Fragsters taking a narrow 8-7 lead. After the break, the Danes looked the livelier of the two sides as they won five of the first seven rounds. GODSENT then picked up the pace and strung three rounds together to reduce the deficit to a solitary round, but Fragsters did not let the game slip away and bagged three rounds straight to lock down the map.
Next up was Mirage, where GODSENT were in the driving seat in the first half as they took an 11-4 lead after giving their opponents very little room to operate. But the landscape of the game changed dramatically in the second half as Fragsters shut down any chances of the Swedes stringing rounds together or building up an economy, and picked up a 16-13 win that puts them through to the North American event.
