compLexity qualify for DreamHack Open Summer over Rogue

compLexity defeated Rogue 2-0 (16-12 on Inferno and 16-7 on Mirage) in the grand final of the North American closed qualifier to punch their ticket to DreamHack Open Summer.
Earlier on Sunday, the first quarterfinal had seen Complexity outlast Mythic in triple overtime to eventually secure the series sweep before easing past eUnited in the last-four stage. On the other side of the bracket, Rogue had escaped Dignitas over three-maps before stamping their grand final spot over Ghost.
The grand final kicked off on Rogue’s map pick, Inferno, where Hunter "SicK" Mims nearly secured the pistol round with a triple entry for the plant in a 1vs2, but Complexity were succesful on the retake. Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and co. went on to secure the anti-ecos, but Spencer "Hiko" Martin earned Rogue’s first round win (1-3) with a double kill in a post-plant hold in A.
Rogue went on to tie the game at 3-3, but Complexity finally broke Rogue’s streak and tallied two more to secure a 6-3 lead. Rogue immediately returned fire, piling on four straight before Complexity responded, but Hiko secured the first-half lead (8-7) for his team with a double kill.
The second half kicked off with Complexity’s aggressive T-side racking up three before Rogue could respond with two of their own to level the score at 10-10. Complexity quickly regained control with three straight to put Rogue’s economy in shambles, setting themselves up to take the map.
The series continued on Complexity’s map pick, Mirage, where Rogue got off to a smooth start on the T-side with three straight rounds. Complexity then snapped the streak thanks to Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor’s aggression in mid for the round win (1-3). The red and black squad went on to establish their lead with four more on the CT-side, eventually dominating the half with a 10-5 lead before switching sides.
Rogue tried to hold off with everything they had on their CT-side, but Complexity were stout throughout the second half and to won six out of eight rounds to claim their spot at DreamHack Open Summer.
