TeamOne, Mythic advance to Americas Minor closed qualifier

The second open qualifier of the Americas Minor has come to an end, with TeamOne and Mythic booking their place in the closed qualifier.
The best-of-one matches in the open bracket saw most of the notable teams in North America cruise their way through to the round of eight, alongside underdogs like APE GANG and Infamous.
First on the chopping block in the round of eight was ETHEREAL, forfeiting their match against the South Africans of Bravado, while TeamOne's difficult win over Vireo.pro resulted in the final BO3 matchup against Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek and his men, with a spot in the closed qualifier on the line.

The two teams went head to head, with Nicolas "NikoM" Miozzi's TeamOne rallying back on their highly-contested map pick, Mirage, to secure the series lead with a 16-13 victory. Moving on to Overpass, the South Africans' backs were against the wall on their own pick, as the Brazilians earned their way into the closed part with a 16-5 map victory and 2-0 series win.
The other side of the bracket saw Eric "adreN" Hoag's Mythic have a difficult time with APE GANG, eventually grabbing the 16-12 victory to challenge Vision, who walked over Polar Ace and Infamous to reach the last-four stage.
Andy "vSa" Xu and his men got off to a steaming start on Dust2 but quickly found themselves on thin ice in the second half, which eventually saw Mythic force overtime to secure the 19-17 win and series lead.
Vision took control on their map pick of Inferno to even the series 1-1, but a one-sided Overpass decider was dominated by Adam "Polen" Polen's impressive 1.54 rating, the American guiding Mythic to close the map 16-10 and the series 2-1 to reach the closed qualifier.
The current team list for the Americas Minor closed qualifier looks as follows:

Four more slots remain in the qualifying process for the Americas Minor, which will continue the third open qualifier on November 10-11, with registration still open on ESEA's website.
